Abstract: There are some differences in sedimentary environments of continental and marine source rocks, thesedimentary model of organic-carbon-rich mudstones was investigated based on the data of marine sourcerocks at hove and abroad. The research result of paleo-oceanography,stratigraphic sequences and oxygenisotopes of plankton Foraminifera indicated that the organic-carbonich sediments in the north Pacificcoust are of similarity in age and paleodimate, according to the data of stratigraphic sequences andgeochemstry, the distribution and cotrolling factor of organic matter were discussed as well.
