Abstract: On the basis of phytolith assemblages from peat surface deposits and some climate indexes, a transfer function of phytolithclimate in Northeast China is established by means of factorial analysis and stepwise regression. Using the function, paleoclimate parameters of Yunshu peat profile were calculated and the paleoclimate evolution is then divided into 7 stages: warmcoldwarmclodwarmcoldwarm. The reconstructed curves also show that the changes of paleoannual wind speed might indicate the following changes of paleotemperature and paleo precipitation, and the warm and wet climate always corresponds with a stable climate system.
