摘要: 本文详细介绍全球沉积岩数据库(A Global Database in Sedimentary Petrology)及其管理软件—FOX SEDBA的特点和功能,以及在开始FOX SEDBA过程中使用软件开发工具的方法。FOX SEDBA由全菜单驱动,并为用户提供良好的人机对话界面。它可以对数据进行录入、编辑、查询、检索、打印和绘图。由于系统功能齐全,检索功能灵活,将会在地球科学中许多领域发挥重要作用。Abstract: This paper describes in detail SEDBA (A Global Database in Sedimentary Petrology) and the characteristics and functions ofits management software FOX SEDBA, as well as the method using the software development tools to construct FOX SEDBA.FOX SEDBA is completely menu-driving system and can provide a good interface for users. It allows for data entry, editing, in-query, retrieval, print out and graph. As the system is advanced and the retrieval functions are powerful and flexible, the SEDBAdatabase will play an important role in the present geosciences.
